Pastor's Thoughts -
It's the most wonderful time of the year
Andy Williams is already singing, “It’s the Most
Wonderful Time of the Year:” jingle belling, holiday greeting, friends come to call, parties for hosting, caroling,
mistletoeing, hearts glowing, love ones near. Surely it is a wonderful time of the year. And surely it is one of the busiest times of the year: shopping, dinners, parties, traveling, school functions and YES CHURCH ACTIVITIES.
We will begin The ROC’s Christmas Celebrations on Sunday, December 4th with the Children’s Musical that Sunday morning in the Family Life Center. That evening we will gather in the sanctuary to enjoy Christmas decorations and celebrate the First Christmas Lights.
We have planned the Children’s Musical on the first Sunday of the month in order for our children and parents to participate in school and family activities throughout the rest of December. Several of our children have moved up to the Youth Group. Parents please help your children with their speaking parts and songs. Also please make sure your children attend all of the remaining practices.
Several of our Life Groups and Sunday School classes have already scheduled Christmas activities. Our choir will present and evening of Christmas songs and celebration of the birth of Christ on Sunday evening, December 18th. All choir members and musicians please make sure to attend all remaining practices.
Of course we will enjoy one another, our children and our choir. However, please remember The ROC is all about “Reaching Our Communities.” Invite your family and friends to the Christmas Celebrations at The ROC.
